On March 10, a delegation led by Kang Lin, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the College of Marine Science and Technology at Hainan Tropical Ocean University, visited the School of Materials Science and Engineering for research and exchange. The meeting was attended by Du Junhua, Secretary of the School’s Party Committee.
Du Junhua welcomed the delegation and introduced the university and school’s development, emphasizing the longstanding close relationship between Hainan Tropical Ocean University and Ocean University of China. She noted that strengthening pair-up support for Hainan Tropical Ocean University is listed in Ocean University of China’s 2025 key tasks. The School of Materials Science and Engineering is committed to implementing university directives, seeking cooperation in student cultivation, graduate employment, scientific research project collaboration, and joint Party building initiatives to promote mutual development.
Kang Lin briefed the delegation on the profiles of Hainan Tropical Ocean University and its College of Marine Science and Technology. He highlighted the deep historical ties between the two universities and expressed the urgent need for professionals in marine materials and chemistry at his college. He proposed deepening cooperation in talent cultivation, graduate recruitment, and joint project applications to leverage complementary strengths and achieve collaborative growth.
The delegation watched the school’s promotional video and toured selected laboratories. Faculty representatives and relevant staff from the Youth League Committee participated in the research and exchange.
