On February 19, a delegation led by Zuo Yang, General Manager of Qingdao Gotion Battery Co., Ltd., along with Wang Bin, Deputy Dean of the Research Institute, and Cheng Shaobin, Senior Manager of the Comprehensive Management Center, visited the School of Materials Science and Engineering to deepen industry-university collaboration. The visit aimed to advance joint research projects and technology transformation while laying a foundation for future strategic partnerships.

The meeting was chaired by Dean Cui Hongzhi of the School of Materials Science and Engineering. Dean Cui emphasized the school’s longstanding commitment to industry-university collaboration, expressing its desire to translate academic breakthroughs into practical applications through deep partnerships with enterprises, thereby contributing to economic and social development.
Zuo Yang, General Manager of Qingdao Gotion Battery Co., Ltd., shared insights into the company’s development history, core products, and market strategies. As a leader in the new energy battery sector, he noted the company’s focus on technological innovation and industrial upgrading. During the visit, he proposed comprehensive cooperation with the school in areas such as undergraduate education and internships, graduate student cultivation, student employment, and technology incubation and transformation, aiming to jointly advance new energy battery technologies.
