On January 3, 2025, a delegation led by Liu Zenglin, former Technical Director, and Zhang Dejin, Deputy Dean of the Research Institute, from Shandong Luyin New Material Technology Co., Ltd. visited the School of Materials Science and Engineering. The meeting was chaired by Dean Cui Hongzhi.
Discussion and Exchange
Dean Cui Hongzhi extended a warm welcome to Liu Zenglin and the delegation, providing an overview of the school’s profile with a focus on the extreme environment materials team’s research in: corrosion-resistant materials, high-energy beam processing and material structure-function integration. Liu Zenglin briefed the delegation on the company’s operations, technological products, and business scope, expressing hope to strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation in marine materials, powder materials, and surface strengthening technologies. Subsequent discussions covered: new product development, technical upgrading, joint platform construction, and talent cultivation mechanisms.
The delegation also toured select school laboratories. Young faculty members and students from relevant research groups participated in the exchanges.
