22 April 2024, Linkoping University, Sweden LiU) Mats Fahlman (Director of Laboratory of Organic Electronics, LOE) (Director of Laboratory of Organic Electronics, Vice Chair of Scientific Council for Natural and Engineering Sciences at Swedish Research  Council and Associate Professor Liu Xianjie were invited to visit the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Ocean University of China.

Liu Wei, vice dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and relevant faculty representatives attended the exchange meeting, and the two sides exchanged views on the cooperation of undergraduate and graduate students in running schools or teaching, discussed the cooperation in scientific research and the use of scientific research instruments, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention. After the exchange, Professor Mats Fahlman gave a lecture on Interface Energy Level Alignment and Its Effect on Device Properties. In the lecture, the nature of ionization potential, electron affinity potential and interface energy level of organic semiconductor thin films were emphasized, and suggestions on how to optimize the design of organic semiconductor devices by using interface properties were given.

Professor Liu Xianjie gave a lecture on Explore Electronic Properties of Organic Materials Upon Synchrotron X-Ray Spectroscopy. The lecture focused on how to use high-vacuum photoelectron spectroscopy (including UPS and XPS), near-atmospheric pressure photoelectron spectroscopy and synchrotron radiation technology to study organic semiconductor materials, interface properties and the influence of environment on materials and interface, and gave suggestions on how to accurately fit the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy with practical physical significance.
