On June 27, 2024, the Dean of the Faculty of Science of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Huang Weiyang, visited the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering for a discussion and exchange, and Dean Cui Hongzhi participated in the discussion.
Cui Hongzhi extended a warm welcome to Huang Weiyang's arrival and introduced the basic situation of the university and the key research directions of the college. She pointed out that Ocean University of China is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education with distinctive Marine and aquatic sciences and complete disciplines, and is in a critical period of taking off to build a world-class university with distinctive characteristics. We hope to take the 100th anniversary of the school as an opportunity to further close contacts, strengthen multi-disciplinary, multi-direction and multi-channel cooperation, and enhance the international level of the school. Huang Weiyang introduced the relevant situation of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Faculty of Science, and said that he was very much looking forward to in-depth cooperation with the university and the faculty to promote common development.
The participants exchanged views on enrollment promotion, student joint training, international cooperation, etc., and also watched the school's promotional video Blue Hua Zhang and the college's promotional video.
Some members of the leadership team, department heads and relevant teachers of the college participated in the exchange.
