Representative achievements and major achievements

During my doctoral studies, I published 10 papers as the first author in journals such as Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, Journal of Materials Science & Technology, and Acta Biomaterialia. I was granted 2 invention patents and participated in 9 vertical and horizontal research projects. Since joining the faculty, I have hosted one general grant from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.

Research Group Overview

The research group is led by Professor Shougang Chen, a PhD supervisor and the deputy dean of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Ocean University of China. He is recognized as an outstanding talent in the new century by the Ministry of Education, and has been a visiting scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States and the University of Calgary in Canada. He is also an award-winning supervisor for excellent graduate students in Shandong Province, and currently serves as the director of Qingdao Key Laboratory of Materials for Extreme Environments. His research focuses on the development and application of new marine materials and their protective technologies. He conducts research in various areas including anti-fouling functional materials, antibacterial biomaterials, self-healing corrosion-resistant materials, photoelectric catalytic materials, air purification materials, and microbial corrosion. The research group currently consists of over 50 PhD and master's degree candidates. The team possesses comprehensive equipment and research infrastructure for the preparation and mechanistic study of marine protective materials, capable of meeting the needs for the design, development, and research projects of marine functional protective materials.
