Biography

Dr Qin received his PhD from Ocean University of China in 2020. His PhD research involved Photonic Crystal Hydrogels (PCH) for chemical and biological sensors, working under the supervision of Prof. Wang Wei and Prof. Cao Lixin. During this period, he obtained the funding from China Scholar Council to the Department of Chemistry of the National University of Singapore for a one-year joint-PhD training. After obtaining a fellowship from National University of Singapore in 2020, he carried out his post-doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Shao Q. Yao. He joined Ocean University of China in January, 2024 as an associate professor in Department of Polymer Materials, School of Materials Science and Engineering. He was awarded the Taishan Scholars of Shandong and Distinguished Young Scholars of Shandong (Overseas)
