Research Interests:

Chuanfei Wang is now an associate professor at the department of polymer Science and engineering at Ocean University of China, leading a research group focusing on Functional Energy Materials and Devices. His main research interests are to develop and study surface and interface materials for applications in photovoltaics or other optoelectronic devices, and study surface and interface energetic properties of organic semiconductors and their effects in organic solar cell using photoelectron spectroscopy.

Biography :

Chuanfei Wang received his MSc in organic chemistry in 2013 from Xiamen University, and worked as a research assistant at Southern University of Science and Technology for one year before moving to Sweden to start his PhD studies under the supervision of Prof. Mats Fahlman in 2014. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics in 2017 from Linköping University, Sweden, and continued to undertake postdoctoral training with Prof. Mats Fahlman (2018—2020), then worked as a principal research engineer in the laboratory of organic electronics at Linkoping University (2020—2022) before joining Ocean University of China. His research interests lie in studying surface and interface energetic properties of functional energy materials and their effects and applications in optoelectronic devices using surface sensitive techniques such as photoelectron spectroscopy. Chuanfei has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed articles. In 2023, he received Excellent Young Scientist Fund (Overseas) from Shandong province for his study in organic semiconductor interfaces and photovoltaics.
