Biography:

Education and work experience: Prof. Chen obtained a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Materials Science at Shandong University in 2004 and joined School of Materials Science and Engineering, Ocean University of China in the same year.

Overview of Scientific Research: Over the years, Prof. Chen led more than ten projects including the National Natural Science Foundation Key Project, National Natural Science Foundation General Project, Shandong Province Key Research and Development Plan (Major Science and Technology Innovation Project), and other provincial projects. Prof. Chen has authored three academic monographs, and has published over 200 SCI and EI articles in domestic and international academic journals, including Angewandte Chemie, Advanced Functional Materials, Applied Catalysis B: Environment and Energy, Nano Energy, Corrosion Science, Nano Today, Small, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Biosensors & Bioelectronics, with 12 highly cited hot papers in SCI journals and three cover articles. Furthermore, they hold 12 national invention patents and have supervised four graduate students who have achieved outstanding master's theses in Shandong Province.

Academic Awards: Prof. Chen has been recognized with several awards including the First Prize for Innovation Achievements of the National Oceanic Administration, the Second Prize for Natural Science of the Ministry of Education, the First Prize for Outstanding Research Achievements in Higher Education of Shandong Province, the First Prize for Science and Technology Progress Award of Qingdao, and the Second Prize for Graduate Teaching Achievements at Ocean University of China.

Professional affiliations: Prof. Chen serves as the Executive Director of the China Ocean Materials Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, Director of the China Corrosion and Protection Society, Member of the Marine Corrosion and Fouling Professional Committee of the China Corrosion and Protection Society, Vice Chairman of the Shandong Materials Society, Secretary-General of the Shandong Corrosion and Protection Society, and Director of the Shandong Composite Materials Society. Additionally, he also serves as a reviewer for the Yangtze River Scholars Award Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Science and Technology Award, and hold editorial positions in international journals such as Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials and Surface Technology.
