Introduction

Dr. Dechao Zhao's research area involves multifunctional integrated nanocrystalline alloy coatings, gradient structure (nanocrystalline-ultrafine-coarse crystal) coatings, machine learning based screening and high throughput preparation of adaptive high temperature alloys, in-situ dynamic deformation mechanism and molecular dynamics simulation of nanocrystalline metals, etc., which is of great significance in guiding the design, preparation, and regulation of new high-performance alloys and coatings. As a research project leader, he has undertaken 8 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Program of Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province of China, and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has published more than 20 papers, including 12 SCI papers in Scripta Materialia, Materials & Design and other high-level journals as the first/corresponding author.
