Representative achievements and major achievements

During my Ph.D., I published 6 first-author papers in prestigious journals including Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Energy, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental and Energy, and Materials Today Nano. I participated in 7 research projects (both government-funded and industry-sponsored). I was frequently invited to present oral presentations at academic conferences.

Research Group Overview

The research group is led by Professor Shougang Chen, a PhD supervisor of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Ocean University of China. He is recognized as an outstanding talent in the new century by the Ministry of Education, and has been a visiting scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States and the University of Calgary in Canada. He is also an award-winning supervisor for excellent graduate students in Shandong Province, and currently serves as the director of Qingdao Key Laboratory of Materials for Extreme Environments. His research focuses on the development and application of new marine materials and their protective technologies. He conducts research in various areas including anti-fouling functional materials, antibacterial biomaterials, self-healing corrosion-resistant materials, photoelectric catalytic materials, air purification materials, and microbial corrosion. The research group currently consists of over 50 PhD and master's degree candidates. The team possesses comprehensive equipment and research infrastructure for the preparation and mechanistic study of marine protective materials, capable of meeting the needs for the design, development, and research projects of marine functional protective materials.
