On March 28, Zhao Yongheng, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of Yancheng Xifuhe Green & Low-Carbon Innovation Park, led a delegation to the School of Materials Science and Engineering for collaborative discussions. The meeting was presided over by Dean Cui Hongzhi.
Dean Cui extended a warm welcome to the delegation. She provided an overview of the university and school's development, highlighting Yancheng's strategic location and resource advantages. Noting the strong alignment between Xifuhe Park's mission and the school's research priorities, she proposed deepening cooperation in key areas such as advanced equipment materials, energy materials, and marine engineering through joint projects, technological innovation, technology transfer, talent cultivation, and internship programs.
Deputy Director Zhao detailed Yancheng's development blueprint, focusing on its abundant marine resources and renewable energy potential. He emphasized the city's ongoing efforts to build a modern industrial system centered on green energy and high-end manufacturing. Highlighting the upcoming university-city cooperation agreement with Ocean University of China, he expressed hope to establish targeted partnerships with the school in scientific research and talent exchange.
The delegation toured the school's key laboratories and engaged in in-depth discussions with faculty representatives on cutting-edge research directions including advanced composite materials and energy storage technologies. Faculty members from related disciplines also participated in the exchanges.
