On March 5, a delegation led by Yu Haiping, General Manager of Shandong Leading Environmental Protection Technology Group Co., Ltd., visited the School of Materials Science and Engineering for collaborative talks. The event was attended by Du Junhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Cui Hongzhi, Dean of the School, other leadership members, and faculty representatives.
Dean Cui Hongzhi welcomed the delegation and introduced the university and school’s strengths in fields such as materials forming, solid waste processing, environmentally friendly materials, and deep-sea monitoring and protection. She proposed leveraging the company’s advantages in capital, resources, market access, and project implementation, alongside the school’s research and talent strengths, to build a multi-dimensional cooperation framework.
General Manager Yu Haiping shared the company’s profile, highlighting its extensive experience in industrialization. He emphasized potential collaborations in new materials and new energy, suggesting joint platforms, industrial bases, and market application channels to accelerate technological commercialization.
Secretary Du Junhua expressed gratitude for the visit, stressing the school’s commitment to serving local economic development. She called for further alignment of cooperation priorities to translate research outcomes into tangible industrial projects, contributing to Qingdao’s innovation-driven growth.
Following the talks, the delegation toured the school’s key laboratories and engaged in in-depth discussions with faculty on specific research directions.
This exchange laid the groundwork for future partnerships in technology development, achievement transformation, and talent cultivation.
