To comprehensively implement the fundamental mission of fostering virtue and cultivating talent and strengthen the teaching and learning ethos, the leadership team of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, led by Du Junhua, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Cui Hongzhi, Dean, visited frontline classrooms during the first week of the new semester to observe teaching activities.
The team attended over 10 undergraduate and graduate courses, focusing on newly launched courses and those identified with improvement needs by teaching supervisors. They meticulously recorded class dynamics, observed student engagement, and evaluated teaching content, methodologies, and effectiveness. Post-class discussions provided constructive feedback to instructors, emphasizing the need to deepen teaching reforms, elevate course quality, and enhance educational outcomes.
In the new academic year, the school will further prioritize educational excellence by strengthening ideological and political education within curricula, promoting teaching innovation, and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into classroom practices to continuously improve teaching quality.
