To strengthen industry-university collaboration, advance industry-university-research integration, and support Shandong’s local economic development, a delegation led by Du Junhua, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Cui Hongzhi, Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, visited Shandong Guohui Group for research on January 14-15, 2025.
At the group headquarters, Vice General Manager Wang Jingpeng briefed the delegation on the group’s business segments and affiliated enterprises, with a focus on its strategic layout in new energy, new materials, and marine engineering. He expressed the group’s desire to establish partnerships with universities. Dean Cui Hongzhi provided an overview of the university and school’s profile, emphasizing strengths in materials innovation and talent cultivation.
At Luyin New Material Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the group, Vice General Manager Wang Changdong outlined the company’s development history, technological products, import/export operations, and core R&D directions. The two sides exchanged views on powder metallurgy technology research and development, as well as its applications in areas such as cladding and additive manufacturing.
At Guotai Dacheng Technology Co., Ltd., another subsidiary of Shandong Guohui Group, Sun Yunhai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, provided an overview of the enterprise’s operations and accompanied the delegation on a tour of the company’s R&D center and product showroom. Discussions focused on carbon fiber and composite materials, covering topics such as: provincial-level platform applications, internship and employment programs, academic upgrading opportunities, and equipment sharing arrangements. College leaders also visited with alumni working at the company to exchange career insights and strengthen ties.
Leadership team members and faculty representatives from the School of Materials Science and Engineering participated in the research.
