Biography: Yue Zhu received his B.Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering from National University of Singapore in 2011, and then worked as a Project Officer at Nanyang Technological University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Texas at Austin in 2019, followed by postdoc at Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research under the prestigious Humboldt Research Fellowship. Prof. Yue Zhu started his faculty position in School of Materials Science and Engineering at Ocean University of China in 2023. His research group has been focused on developing advanced electrode materials and new energy storage mechanisms with an emphasis on understanding of the basic science behind practical applications.
